Nationality: Bulgaria
Jules Pascin, born Julius Mordecai Pincas, was a painter and draftsman of the School of Paris, born in Bulgaria and later naturalized American. His work, centered on the human figure, is marked by supple line, light touch, and an intimate, often melancholic atmosphere. He painted mostly nudes, portraits, and interior scenes, in which bodily fragility and understated narrative play a central role.
